The Russian American Center and Dallas -Saratov Sister Cities Committee present Russian Festival 2008 (3.17.08 - 4.01.08). It includes meetings with delegation from Saratov (doctors, educators, government representatives), cultural celebrations in DISD schools (Skyline High School and Travis Academy), film screenings (Mongol and Mermaid) organized by Dallas International Film Festival, and concert in SMU Meadows Museum sponsored by SMU Russian Club.

The tradition of Winter Festival in Russia is centuries old, serving as a farewell to long winter and a greeting to the coming spring. To keep this tradition alive, RAC has made Russian Festival a yearly Texas event for the last twelve years.
